InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System

A NEW STANDARD IN IMPROVED CATHETER MANAGEMENT
RyMed Technologies revolutionizes catheter care management with its patented InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System.

RyMed Technologies’ new InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System is the first “Needle-Free” I.V. Connector designed to prevent “negative fluid displacement” which causes the retrograde of the patient’s blood into the catheter lumen. The InVision-Plus® Neutral® advantage occurs not only during the connection to, but also during the disconnection from the I.V. Connector when using a standard syringe or I.V. line connector.

The InVision-Plus® Neutral® is a universal valve design accessed by standard male-luer syringes and I.V. line connectors. No additional adapters are required.

Neutral Fluid Displacement
Minimizes Intraluminal Thrombotic Catheter Occlusions

An important key to reducing thrombotic occlusions, particularly for intraluminal occlusions, is to prevent the retrograde flow of blood into the catheter. And the InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System does just that.

With current needle-free injection port systems, this reflux of the patient’s blood into the catheter lumen is usually caused by a “negative vacuum” or “negative fluid displacement” that immediately occurs when syringes or I.V. line connectors are either connected to or disconnected from conventional and needle-free injection port systems.

The Neutral Fluid Displacement product feature exhibits no blood reflux into the catheter at connection to the InVision-Plus® Neutral®
0.000mL (+0.002mL/-0.000mL).

The Neutral Fluid Displacement product feature exhibits no blood reflux into the catheter at disconnection from the InVision-Plus® Neutral®
0.000mL
(+/-0.000mL).

I.V. Connector Fluid Displacement Summary Results

The InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System is designed to reduce intraluminal thrombotic catheter occlusions by preventing the retrograde of blood into the catheter lumen.

And, the InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System is easier to use than conventional connectors:

  • Neutral Fluid Displacement eliminates the need for Positive-Pressure Technique
  • Neutral Fluid Displacement eliminates the need for a clamping sequence during medication delivery and ends the confusion on whether or not to clamp during the connection to or disconnection from the I.V. Connector

The InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System:

  • Minimizes chance of error
  • Is not technique-dependent, and
  • Improves the overall simplicity and ease of use

These factors are particularly important for “Better Patient Care & Safety”.

The InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System from RyMed Technologies sets a new industry Standard of Care for “Needle-Free” Injection Port Intravenous Therapy and Blood Sampling.

Risk and Cost Reduction
An occluded catheter and/or a related bloodstream infection can lead to an increase in the overall cost of patient care.

The InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System from RyMed Technologies can reduce the risk of thrombotic occulsions and catheter-related infections, prevent disruption in therapy, keep costs under control and minimize the impact of catheterization on patient lifestyle.

Additionally, the InVision-Plus® Neutral® I.V. Connector System reduces overall costs by providing a totally integrated catheter care system, with universal fittings to work with all standard infusion products and connectors, while eliminating the cumbersome additional components required with other systems.

Customer comments:
"The InVision-Plus provides a necessary balance of simplicity, cost effectiveness, and safety to both healthcare workers and patients. It will surely fill in some of the gapping holes currently in the healthcare industry and set a new gold standard in connector system technology and safety"

TPN Pharmacist

lnvision-Plus appears to be a safe and effective way to adapt infusion catheters for intermittent therapies, and also provides a manner of actually decreasing cost and risk factors.

"The InVision-Plus saved my PICC line. Prior to using it, I experienced constant problems with blood in the line and flushing and medication flow were becoming very sluggish. The medication now flows just like when the line was first put in, the line flushes easily, and there has not been any blood visible in the line. The InVision-Plus did not just prevent further problems, it reversed the problems I was already experiencing. Thank you!"
